Football in Barbados continues to grow from strength to strength with exciting new developments at all levels of the game on the island.

The recent replacement of the turf at the official ‘home of football’ in Wildey means the playing surface of the national field now impressively meets world-class FIFA Field Certification criteria, enabling Barbados to host international matches and competitions, as well as touring overseas teams.

The Concacaf Nation’s League Qualifier will be held in Barbados on Thursday 23rd March, 2023 between the Barbados and Cuba Senior Men’s National teams, signalling the return of the Nation’s League to Barbados, and from 26th to 29th May, 2023 one of the biggest Masters football tournaments in the Caribbean will again be played in Barbados. Both events are sure to attract locals and visitors alike to come along and cheer on the teams battling it out in fierce competition.

The domestic football season in Barbados runs between January and August, with free weekly games held in various locations all over the island and is an experience not to be missed.
