The South Coast of Barbados is full of beautiful beaches, nightlife hotspots and some of the most popular restaurants on the island. From casual beachside spots to elegant fine dining the South Coast has something for everyone. Here’s a few of our favourite places to help you decide where to eat next time you’re on the South Coast.

Tapas

Nestled along the south coast boardwalk, Tapas is known for its diverse á la carte menu that caters to every pallet. Its recently revamped deck offers an oceanside dining experience with a relaxed atmosphere that invites lively conversation. Tapas is the perfect spot for sunset cocktails and savouring a romantic dinner beneath the twinkling stars.

Champers

Set right at the water’s edge, Champers' elegant cliff-top dining has earned it a gilded reputation among both locals and visitors. Their menu features dishes made with the highest quality, locally grown produce and Barbados-caught fish and seafood that are sure to impress. Make sure to pay a visit to their art gallery where you can see a carefully curated collection of stunning Caribbean art.

Harbour Lights Dinner Extravaganza

Every Wednesday and Thursday, Harbour Lights hosts their dinner extravaganza featuring live entertainment with stilt walkers, steel pan music, fire eaters, Kadooment dancers, and three live bands. Their traditional Bajan-style barbecue dinner is perfect for celebrations, birthdays, anniversaries and all special occasions.

The Garden Terrace at Southern Palms

In the heart of St. Lawrence Gap, the Garden Terrace at Southern Palms is an ideal spot for a seaside lunch or dinner with live entertainment. Monday nights are a Bajan buffet with live guitar and singing by the Redmen featuring Ram Edghill and the Barbados Steel orchestra has been performing at Southern Palms on Thursday evenings and Sunday lunch for over 50 years. 

Lobster Alive

Lobster Alive is THE play to eat lobster in Barbados. With live lobster in the restaurant’s large tank and fresh fish from the Bridgetown Fish Market, Lobster Alive is a great spot for beachside dining on fresh seafood. Enjoy Trotty’s jazz steel pan at lunch time or top quality Jazz quartet Monday to Saturday night and Sunday lunch.
