Finding Balance, Beauty, and Belonging in Barbados
When Juliana and Mark Spicoluk first came to Barbados to film their classes on the beautiful beaches they had heard so much about, they had no idea the island would become their home for themselves, their business, and their children.

What was supposed to be a brief stay, unfolded into something much deeper: a sense of belonging and profound inspiration that would shape not only their family life but also the soulful direction of their global brand, Boho Beautiful.
“We didn’t set out to build a massive global platform,” Juliana reflects. “We just wanted to connect with our hearts to people by sharing our own practice, life, and creativity.”
Island Inspiration
While their work has always been rooted in the pursuit of wellness, Barbados has given it sacred depth. “There’s something about the island that slows you down, helps you breathe more deeply,” says Mark. “It’s a place where creativity flows naturally, where you wake up each day in gratitude for the divine beauty that surrounds you.”

Much of Boho Beautiful’s content is now filmed here, with the island’s landscapes becoming backdrops for yoga classes and meditations watched by millions worldwide. From sunrise sessions on the sand to evening reflections with the sound of the surf in the background, Barbados has become an unspoken character in their work – a quiet presence that reminds viewers of the beauty and stillness they, too, can find in daily life.

A Shared Space
For visitors who want to step away from the screen and into the Boho Beautiful experience, Juliana and Mark have created a welcoming sanctuary at Haymans Market. This new space is a modern studio and production facility where the offerings can be shared with their global audience while simultaneously rolling out their mats for classes alongside the local and visiting community.
“Human connection is a sacred gift,”
Juliana explains.
“After years of travelling and working strictly online, the studio allows us to come together as a community, to collectively deepen our spiritual connection for a moment on our mats together and then carry it forward into all of our lives.”
Mark adds,
“An actual studio and a production space is a major and unexpected pivot for Boho Beautiful. We always knew one day it would happen, but we had never found the right place to call home until our stars led us here.”
Classes are open to all levels, from curious beginners to seasoned practitioners. The focus, as always, is less on perfect poses and more on creating an atmosphere where people can unwind, reconnect, and leave feeling rejuvenated and realigned.
Wellness in Paradise
What strikes many about Juliana and Mark’s story is how seamlessly they have woven their professional and personal lives together. Their second child was born here, their older son is now enrolled in school in Barbados, and they are finding joy in the island’s natural rhythms – from morning swims to farmers markets and community events.

“We’ve been fortunate to travel to so many beautiful places,” says Juliana, “but there’s a unique magic here. It’s not just the beaches or the sunshine, though of course those are amazing. It’s the spirit of the island, the warmth of the people, the sense that you’re always welcome.”
Boho Beautiful invites everyone to embrace that energy in a more intentional way, by creating space for stillness, conscious movement, and deep reflection during their stay.
As Mark puts it:
“Vacations are often a whirlwind – ticking off sights, activities, excursions. But the most meaningful memories often come from the quiet moments. A yoga class, a breath of fresh sea air, a pause to notice how good it feels to reconnect to your inner-world and true self.”

A Lasting Connection
Though their brand continues to expand globally, Barbados is now at the heart of everything Juliana and Mark do. It is where they feel most inspired, where their creativity feels most alive, and where they most enjoy welcoming others into their world.
Their story is a reminder that Barbados isn’t just a place to visit – it’s a place that touches your soul and stays with you long after you leave. As Juliana says, “We came here to work but we stayed because it felt like home. Every day we wake up grateful to be part of this island's energy, and we hope that when people come here, they feel the same magic we do.”
