Dive into five days of swimming, sunshine and island adventure at the Barbados Open Water Festival, taking place November 4–8, 2026. The festival brings together swimmers from Barbados and around the world for a mix of relaxed practice swims and competitive races, all set against some of the island’s most beautiful coastal scenery.
The first three days feature guided practice swims at locations including Carlisle Bay and Batts Rock, giving participants a chance to settle into Barbados’ warm Caribbean waters and meet fellow swimmers before race weekend. The action then centres on Carlisle Bay, where swimmers can take on 1.5K, 3.3K, 5K and 10K distances, along with a non-competitive 1.5K “Just for Fun” swim.
