Caribbean Brushstrokes

Caribbean Brushstrokes is a gallery where “creativity lives”.

Caribbean Brushstrokes is a dynamic art gallery located in the heart of Barbados, dedicated to celebrating the vibrant creativity of the Caribbean. The gallery showcases a diverse range of cultural expressions, featuring works by both established and emerging artists from across the region and the Caribbean diaspora.

More than a traditional gallery, Caribbean Brushstrokes serves as a hub for creativity, connection, and education. Its mission is to foster a deeper appreciation for Caribbean art by creating opportunities for meaningful engagement between artists, collectors, and visitors. Regular exhibitions, artist talks, and workshops offer insight into the stories, heritage, and artistic vision behind each piece.

Designed as a versatile cultural space, the gallery also hosts book launches, intimate events, spoken-word performances, and other creative gatherings. A wine bistro, opening soon, will further enhance the welcoming atmosphere, inviting guests to relax while enjoying art in an inspiring setting.

Caribbean Brushstrokes is known for challenging traditional definitions of art, embracing a wide range of creative forms including tattoos, jewelry, textiles, sculpture, alongside painting and photography. By pushing boundaries and promoting accessibility, the gallery plays an important role in strengthening Barbados’ contemporary cultural landscape.

A visit to Caribbean Brushstrokes offers an engaging opportunity to explore the stories of the Caribbean as told through the eyes of its artists.
